  • EDUCATION FOUNDATION FUNDS 83 PROJECTS

    At its recent meeting, the Educational Foundation Board of Trustees renewed 50 projects @ $78,498.00 and approved 33 new projects @$56,395.00 for a total of $134,893.00 Project 2009 Awards. In February 2009, 17 Cornetet Individual Professional Development Awards were funded at a total of $19,195.00.

    Projects funded for 2009 are taking place in 27 states, three Canadian Provinces, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Sweden, Sierra Leone, Siwa, Egypt and Tanzania.

    In addition to the Projects Awards, the Board of Trustees discussed plans for the Info Fair and “Miracles Happen, Dreams Come True” workshops at 2009 Regional Conferences. The Trustees expressed appreciation for the Educational Foundation Liaisons who will get the message out about the funding opportunities and ways to contribute to the Foundation’s funds. The Trustees discussed plans for the Seminar in Purposeful Living, July 15-18,2010, in Tacoma, Washington.

    Since 1964, The Board of Trustees of the Educational Foundation has distributed nearly $1.8 million in its efforts to improve, enrich and encourage intercultural understanding and educational excellence.
