Insurance Programs for DKG Members

Selected by Insurance Committee members on a competitive basis, the policies offered are underwritten by several companies. Each program was chosen to fill a particular need of Society members. The Insurance Committee continuously monitors and seeks to improve the offerings to benefit members. Designed and operated for the exclusive benefit of the members of Delta Kappa Gamma, insurance plans vary with member needs and provide comprehensive or supplemental coverage. Because the insurance representatives share their commissions with the Society, the insurance programs also supply the organization with non-dues revenue.

Proposed in 1966 in Cleveland, Ohio, the Society's insurance program began in 1968, following action at the New York Convention. The International Insurance Committee oversees the program during annual reviews when it meets at International Headquarters. The committee is appointed by the International President at the beginning of each biennium and consists of one member from each of the U.S. Regions.
